We became scientists this week in Chestnut class to celebrate Science week. We learned some cool science facts. For example, did you know that butterflies use their feet to taste food? We made crystal shapes, explored colour and examined how important it is to wash our hands before we eat. We also had lots of parents come in and help us with Science for Fun. Thank you everyone!
We were very lucky to be able to attend a drumming workshop today. We moved to the beat, kept the beat going and explored some different drums such as the Bodhrán and African drums. We had lots of fun!

Last week Chestnut class prepared posters to run for the different teams in our school. These are the Green Schools team, the Student Council and the Forest and Garden School. All children were given an opportunity to tell their class why they should vote for them. Class members all cast their vote in a secret ballot to chose who they wanted to represent Chestnut class on the different teams. Everyone did an amazing job at designing their posters and giving their speeches. Our class representatives for this year are
Darren & Aireen
Oskar & Alannah
Forest & Garden School
Emily & Alex
