We became scientists this week in Chestnut class to celebrate Science week. We learned some cool science facts. For example, did you know that butterflies use their feet to taste food? We made crystal shapes, explored colour and examined how important it is to wash our hands before we eat. We also had lots of parents come in and help us with Science for Fun. Thank you everyone! We were very lucky to be able to attend a drumming workshop today. We moved to the beat, kept the beat going and explored some different drums such as the Bodhrán and African drums. We had lots of fun!
Dear Parents & Guardians
As per school policy and the legal requirements of the Irish curriculum, your child will be learning about a number of topics in the next couple of weeks. I have included the pages that your child will be discussing in class below. The topics include, self identity, family units, people who help keep us safe, New life, physical growth and making choices. If you wish to discuss any of these topics in more detail prior to the lessons I will be teaching, please let me know. Thank you, Anita The first Friday of every month we have a whole school assembly at PETNS. This week we all made a collaborative art project. We all helped to design peacock feathers in our families as we are all proud of who we are at PETNS. We also celebrated those who had 100% attendance in October and student of the week. Kacper was awarded student of the week this week in Chestnut class. Well done to everyone!
